Changes to Health&safety policies

As of Summer, 2022 masks continue to be optional at both Cibolo & NB locations.

Masks and distancing are welcome but will be your choice!

I will continue my flexible makeups and allowing mask policy so we can be extra careful with illness & attendance. I will not usually wear a mask unless specifically requested OR if i know i have been exposed and want to be extra careful. Just as before the pandemic, I will continue to ask families to stay home if sick (symptomatic, diagnosis, testing positive with anything infectious). Many of us have chronic conditions (I have this allergies and asthma too). If you are certain that your symptoms are allergies, asthma, lingering irritation you can return to class. However since it‘s hard to absolutely rule out viruses, I will also ask that if you or your child do have a chronic cough or runny nose that you add some distance and/or use masks temporarily - I will follow this advice for myself as well.

I will also be slowly returning to pre pandemic class size and instrument sharing. It will be a process and i'll start with just enlarging classes and adding more communal instrument sharing. If you prefer not to share or be in smaller classes just let me know and I will accommodate. I will also we adding some digital access back into my schedule-- this is partly because of the new music streaming rules but also so if you need to take a break from in-person classes you'll be able to contact me via zoom so i can provide support.

Also we will still need to follow any location’s guidelines- even if they are different from my studio’s policies.

With the case, hospital, immunity, and other indicators

looking so much better, my policies will be changing slowly back to normal.

April & May 2022 things still looking good!!

So I will be increasing the class sizes slowly. Right now they are at 6 but i will be looking at going to 8 for family classes this summer. We will also be spending time inside & outside during most classes!!

Now & Future (Summer 2022 and beyond especially as CDC updates policies regarding exposure and isolation)…

*class occupancy sizes are up to 16 total for summer and may increase by fall. I will likely take upto 8 parent/child pairs for family and 6-8 children in drop off classes- when we have parents/siblings/families join this may alter who can be in the class or i may just leave the class door open if necessary. By fall I expect all drop off classes will be at normal size (6-8 children) but family classes may stay at 8 parent/child pairs till we see how the fall situation evolves.

*I will continue to monitor the situation and follow professional guidance so watch for updates or changes on the blog and in class.

*Please be vigilant with symptoms. To help with this there will be flexibility with account$ balances & makeups.

*Also I will continue to have disposable masks, tissues/towels, & soap/hand cleaner as needed.

*I will continue to use my special air filter (NB church also has a special filtration system).

*As guidance changes around exposure and isolation, i may choose to wear a mask instead of canceling classes if i have been exposed or have allergy symptoms (but a negative test).

*Cleaning instruments and objects will follow my long standing policies.

*As guidance loosens I have already begun to have instrument sharing again. We will continue to increase sharing, gathering, exploration as health&safety allows. I will have separated instruments if desired- so please let me know if you do not want to share instruments. I will keep the boxed instruments for some transitional activities because the children are use to it and love boxes so we'll use them regularly.
