Black history, strings, & Beethoven

February‘s been a full month with Rodeo themes, Love themes, and more. All classes have been also exploring stringed instruments. To close out this month the Young Child class (a class for 5-7yos who are ready to transition to lesson) and my older family classes will be learning or listening to Beethoven’s music highlighting stringed instruments. One of these pieces may have been written for a musician/violinist Beethoven worked with named George Bridgetower who was Afro-Polish. For more info on this musician follow this link
