One of the things that is great about Kindermusik is the community of parents & professionals sharing with each other. We share our fears, joys, experiences, and even what’s around town. Scroll below for some anecdotes classes. And links to community information too…

Still In contact 10, 20, even 30 years after our Kindermusik class. The friendships we make while young parents can last a lifetime. On social media, families friend me and each other and many keep in contact for years… sharing as their children grow.

As the class gathers and after, frank but respectful parenting discussions are encouraged. In the baby class we will often take time during the class to briefly discuss topics on parents/caregivers mind. I am often asked about my thoughts on parenting/ discipline - I’ve lived long enough to know that there isn’t just one ‘right’ way to parent and that there are a variety of ways that can be successful. Each individual child and family has their own personality and needs… and that’s ok. Of course everyone has beliefs and values and that includes me. So I would say my foundation lies in conscious parenting & discipline techniques that are based in my own experience and in brain science. (I have separate posts that discuss different methods). https://www.discoverymeadowstudio.com/post/parenting-links
Finally, we share what we know about our community. Recently I was asked if there were family or kid centered activities for Wurstfest (a NewBraunfels festival that is going on in November). This gave way to a brief discussion in class with several families chiming in on their experiences.
Here is a link that has some good ideas…
Although I have some old posts with information on different community events, sometimes older posts can have links that no longer work or are out of date. So I will be revisiting & posting below some new links for current info on what’s available in our community for the upcoming holidays
