Normalizing Shy

Updated: Aug 21

I know what it's like have a child who interacts differently. There are lots of ways to experience a class and your child's way is best for them. I don't like to use the term shy because it isn't always a helpful. Introverted children & adults alike know how much pressure there is around expections in social situations.

Here's my commentary on the subject on tiktok

Labeling a child as shy can do more harm than good. Consider the WHY of what they're doing. They might be:

+ Creating a safe space for themselves.

+ Absorbing and analyzing different situations and concepts

+ Making their own decisions about likes, dislikes, and creativity #kindermusik
