An automated system through your Kindermusik Account is used for mass notifications for emergencies (weather, illness cancellations), important information about a whole class/studio, and automated info from the payment system- so please keep your account info on my.kindermusik updated!!
At the beginning and end of the term I will usually send an email to all whose class is about to start or about to end. If there is a special personal issue I may contact you using what you have listed on your registration as prefered OR what you usually use to contact me yourself. You can always contact me your prefered way, anytime!
The email used for automatic notifications is the one you have listed on your registration/account- you can add a secondary/additional email if you'd like.
**Automated texting for emergencies is available BUT you MUST sign up by toggling on the “text message” toggle on your kindermusik account- click on My Account, Account Info, Allow Text Message toggle.

I usually go by the local ISD to decide when to cancel or postpone due to weather or local emergencies. So if the local schools are still open I usually am too.
However sometimes there is localized flooding that may complicate access to the studios. Especially in Schertz/Cibolo area... if Wiedner Rd & Town Creek are Closed, you need to go through Cibolo Crossing subdivision (off of 1103)- take Cibolo Crossing to Ramsdale Way. Sometimes the city will put a barricade & sign right in front or near my driveway BUT the low crossing is much further down the road and it is legal to use my driveway. If you get to the intersection with my driveway AND it's not under water then you are leagal to drive onto my driveway (the barricade is for the water crossing at the other end of the road they just don't want people going down the road where there isn't space to turn around).
I don't cancel for rain unless CiboloCrossing Rd (subdivision) is closed or unless the local school ISD closes. Having said this please follow #turnarounddontdrown and your best judgement for your own comfort & safety. Your safety is what's most important and you can always makeup the class if you don't feel it's safe.
If I have a personal emergency and have to cancel class, again I will use the automated email & text system connected to your account. I will set up makeups for any class I cancel/postpone. My Schedule/Calendar website page explains the weeks I have built into the schedule for makeups. If there is something I can't makeup I will give credits that can be used anytime within the next term (this can be extended to a year with request).
